A lifelong Midwestener, Aaron Wissmiller was born right here in McLean County and raised in Cooksville. He earned his Bachelors Degree in International Business from Illinois State University where, as a student, he cut his radio teeth at GLT as a student jazz and blues on-air host.
Apparently, Aaron's early experience at GLT was happy one, compelling him to pursue a career in radio upon graduation. After serving as an account executive for a cluster of commercial radio stations in central Illinois, Aaron returned to his first radio home at GLT as Corporate Support Director in 2004. In July of 2008, Aaron became GLT Development Director, taking responsibility for all of GLT's fundraising activities, events, marketing and community relations.
Aaron's passions include his family, music and outdoor sports. One of his lifetime goals is to hike the Appalachian Trail end to end.wearing headphones tuned to the closest NPR station, of course.
