This first-class evening at the Illinois Shakespeare Festival includes a delectable boxed dinner from The Garlic Press Market Cafe for picnicking on the lush shaded lawn of Ewing Manor, accompanied by a live band. Dessert from Carl's Ice Cream and your choice of soda or water are included with the meal. You are also welcome to pack a bottle of wine or additional beverages to bring along in your picnic basket. There will be a cash wine/beer bar available on the grounds, if you don't choose to bring your own.

The Illinois State University Madrigal singers will charm and amuse you as they stroll the grounds singing traditional music after your picnic. A performance of The Three Musketeers (by playwright Robert Kauzlaric) follows dinner. Your $48 admission includes the picnic dinner (a vegetarian option is available), dessert, live music, and the theater performance in one of the most beautiful settings in the community.

Parking is available across Emerson Street at St. John's Lutheran Church. Please follow the sidewalk to the stoplight at Emerson and Towanda to cross safely to the Festival grounds. Traffic guards will be on hand to assist you.

If you need special accommodation in order to enjoy this GLT event, please indicate so when placing your ticket order, or call Linda Healy at (309)438-5083. Please allow sufficient time to arrange the accommodation.

Proceeds of GLT Night benefit the Equipment Fund of public radio station WGLT 89.1/103.5 FM. This year, tickets are available ONLY through the Festival box office by calling (309)438-2535, or by clicking on the Buy Tickets button above).
