McLean County Coroner Kathy Davis has released the name of one of three people who were killed in a fiery crash that shut down Interstate 39 north of Normal early Wednesday.

According to a news release, one of the victims was scientifically identified as Guy Favorite IV, 43, of St. Charles, Mo. Davis said the investigation and identification of the other two victims remains ongoing.

Illinois State Police said the crash happened around 5:30 a.m. on I-39 at mile marker 4 near Hudson. Reports indicate a northbound semitrailer truck crossed the median and struck another truck head on.

“The McLean County Coroner’s Office is working diligently on this matter and will release more information when it is available,” Davis said in a statement.
