The 88th Academy Awards is coming up next week. There'll be celebrities in designer duds, splashy production numbers...and, once again this year, there'll be controversy.  ISU's Shari Zeck analyzes the Academy's issues with race, and speculates on who might take home an Oscar this year.

* Shari Zeck says The Academy is just a big club and that its demographics stack the odds against minorities getting nominated for the Oscar.

*The Oscar telecast is the granddaddy of all award shows and has a higher measure of glamor than any other award show.

*Tastes change, and what wins an Oscar this year might be considered quaint years down the line.

*Underdogs for this year's Oscar race include Brie Larson for "Room" and "Mad Max: Fury Road."

*This may well be Leonardo DiCaprio's year to finally take home a Best Actor Oscar!
