Bloomington Mayor Tari Renner and Normal Mayor Chris Koos marched in Saturday's Boston Pride Parade.

Renner and Koos are in Boston this weekend for a U.S. Conference of Mayors annual meeting. Around 100 mayors from around the country, including Koos and Renner, walked in the annual Pride parade, Koos said.

"We are honored to be part of this great event that celebrates the best of us as human beings," Renner said. "We need this in Bloomington-Normal."

The U.S. Conference of Mayors is the official nonpartisan organization of cities with a population of 30,000 or larger. The four-day annual meeting includes sessions on infrastructure, immigration, cybersecurity, school safety, jobs and the economic future of cities.
