Bloomington Police Seek Suspect In Hotel Robbery Attempt

Bloomington Police are looking for the public's help finding the man who tried to rob a hotel at gunpoint.

It happened around 4 a.m. Friday at the Super 8 motel on 818 IAA Drive in Bloomington. The man with a gun entered and demanded money. When the employee informed the suspect that no cash was kept in an employee‐accessible area, the suspect hit the employee, police said. The suspect then fled on foot.

The suspect was described as a black male in his 20s, approximately 5-foot-11 to 6-foot-1, wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt, black pants, small goatee, and with a medium build. The subject was armed with a long-barreled black handgun.
