BPD Seeks Suspect In Shooting Of 14-Year-Old Boy

Bloomington Police are invetigating a shooting in the 800 block of Douglas Street on Saturday night.

Bloomington Police are trying to determine who shot a 14-year-old boy in the leg over the weekend.
Police said they were called to the 800 block of Douglas Street at 8:17 p.m. Saturday following a report of a shooting.

Officers say they saw a group of four boys, ages 13 to 15, who said a male subject approached them, produced a gun and started shooting without provocation before fleeing the area.

Police say they found evidence of multiple shots being fired.

The boy who was shot was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police said the boy’s injuries did not appear to be life threatening.
