Welcoming Ordinance In Normal

Mayor Chris Koos said the Normal Town Council has been working on an ordinance, and discussions have been cordial. The council has been working on the Welcoming City ordinance for a few months now, and will vote on it Monday. A Welcoming ordinance regulates communication between local police officers and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE.

Bloomington's mayor said the vacant Front N Center building in the heart of downtown can potentially be acquired through eminent domain.
