NPD Investigating Saturday Home Invasion

Staff

Police in Normal are searching for a suspect in connection with a home invasion that reportedly occurred Saturday afternoon.

Police say just before 5 P.M. a man knocked on a door of an apartment on Traders Circle, and forced himself inside. He then held down the female who answered the door, demanding property at knife-point. The female victim apparently sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The attacker then fled but it's not known if he made away with any goods.

The intruder is described as having a medium build, dark hair and light colored skin. A K-9 search of the area did not result in an arrest. Anyone with information about the crime is asked to contact the Normal Police Department Detective Kendra DeRosa at 309-454-9624 or at kderosa@normal.org
