Former McLean County Board Chair Matt Sorensen is scheduled for a change of plea hearing Wednesday afternoon in Federal Court in Chicago.
That's according to court records.
Sorensen is accused of wire fraud in taking more than 400,000 dollars from State Farm Insurance for consulting work not performed.
Sorensen's lawyers indicated in September he might plead guilty to unspecified charges. The case against Sorensen's co-defendant, and the alleged mastermind of the scheme Navdeep Arora, is considered more likely to go to a trial.
The original plea hearing was continued from September.
Sorensen resigned from the County Board early this year shortly after the indictments became public.
A federal grand jury handed up the indictments in August of 2015.
