An 8-year-old girl is expected to recover after she was shot in the leg this morning on Peoria's West Bluff.
Peoria Police Public Information Officer Amy Dotson said a ShotSpotter alert detected three rounds fired in the 1200 block of N. Orange around 3:45 a.m. Friday.
Police received another call that a child inside a house was shot. She was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Dotson said multiple suspects forced entry into the house and fired. She had no further information. No arrests have been made.
