Daniel Musisi

Daniel joined WCBU with eight years of experience in public radio, primarily in operations and engineering. He started out at WPFW - a Pacifica public radio station in Washington DC - as a remote broadcast engineer, before becoming an engineer and board operator for All Things Considered at NPR member station, WAMU. When he and his wife decided to relocate to Chicago, he landed a position as a master control engineer at WBEZ, Chicago Public Media. Five years later, Daniel and his wife Katie, moved their family to Peoria. They have a 2 year old daughter named Olive, and a new baby named Desmond.  Daniel holds a bachelor's degree in audio production from American University in Washington, DC. He is also an accomplished DJ, with over 20 years of experience djing night clubs and special events including the world-renowned John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the U.S. State Department, the White House, and the 2013 Commander in Chief Inaugural Ball.  Daniel is also a vinyl record collector and a bicycle enthusiast, who has been known to bike in to WCBU in the dark, at 4:30 in the morning, to host Morning Edition.
