Three Michigan men were arrested Friday after a business burglary at Northwoods Mall.
Peoria Police Public Information Officer Amy Dotson said two men walked into Kay Jewelers around 12:15 p.m. and used a sledgehammer to smash glass display cases.
The men then fled to a vehicle waiting outside.
The men drove east on Interstate 74. They were eventually stopped at Illinois Route 116 and Blackjack Boulevard in East Peoria.
Terrion Johnson, 19; Jabreez Thompkins, 21; and Christopher Smith, 26; were all arrested for business burglary. Johnson also was cited for various traffic offenses.
