Nathan Peterson will lead a music event on March 10 as part of 309 Week.

The week of March 9 will provide opportunities for civic engagement and networking in Peoria.

309 Week seeks to bring together entrepreneurs, non-profits, and others from various walks of life.

Josh Albrecht is director of marketing for the Peoria Area Convention and Visitor's Bureau.

"Revitalization is also about rediscovery. And rediscovery is a big theme for the Convention and Visitor's Bureau. We want people to discover the community that they're a part of, and also when they come here for a visit, we want to to have that idea in mind as they discover our community," he said.

Nathan Peterson is a local musician who is leading a music-themed event on March 10.

"It'll be a concert, but it'll also sort of be this workshop, where we kind of explore together what does it really mean to be in the room together, but in a concert setting," Peterson said.

The events are free and open to the public. Click here for a schedule.
