AutonomouStuff CEO Says Self-Driving Vehicles Will Fill Job Gaps

The CEO of a Morton self-driving vehicle company says he doesn't think automation will impact the workforce as much as people think.

Bobby Hambrick leads AutonomouStuff.

"I don't think it's going to play that big of an impact of people that drive for a living," he said. "Because right now, there's a massive shortage of drivers. Which is why there's a big demand on automating them."

He says automated vehicles will help fill those gaps.

AutonomouStuff tested its self-driving vehicles in downtown Peoria this past summer. Hambrick says while some vehicles with those features are already available, it will be a while yet before they roll out on a mass scale.
