A 35-year old Bloomington man has been arrested on child pornography charges.
Carthell Nibbelin was jailed after being picked up by police from both Normal and Bloomington. His arrest stems from a year-long investigation started by NPD.
Police say Nibbelin had more than 2,400 images and videos in his possession. The illegal porn allegedly turned up after Bloomington Police Cyber Crimes Unit conducted an extensive forensic examination of numerous items of evidence.
Nibbelin is being held in lieu of $100,000 bond.
