Bloomington Woman Identified in Fatal Crash Near Arrowsmith

A Bloomington woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash on a county road near Arrowsmith on Sunday.

McLean County Coroner Kathy Yoder has released the name of the woman who was killed in a crash involving a passenger vehicle and a semitractor trailer Sunday in rural Arrowsmith.
Ami Wicks, 42, of Bloomington, died in the crash. Yoder said Wicks was the driver of the vehicle which collided with the semi near 3300 East and 133 North Road at about 2 p.m. Sunday. Wicks was pronounced dead about 40 minutes after the crash.

A male passenger in that vehicle was hospitalized. His condition isn’t known.

Authorities haven’t released details about how the crash occurred.

Yoder said toxicology results are pending. She said the incident remains under investigation by her office and the McLean County Sheriff’s Department.
