A 55-year-old Bloomington woman was killed in a car crash Friday night on the city's far west side.
Gina R. Jesse's car struck another vehicle on West Washington Street, just east of Bloomington Heights Road, said McLean County Coroner Kathleen Yoder. Preliminary autopsy findings indicate Jesse died from blunt-force injuries to the chest at around 7:20 p.m. at the Advocate BroMenn Medical Center emergency room, Yoder said.
Toxicology results are pending.
The crash remains under investigation by Yoder's office and the McLean County sheriff's office.
