James Snow mugshot
Bloomington Police
James Snow was captured in Bloomington without incident on Thursday after being on the run for two days.

Bloomington Police say they have captured the man who had escaped from the Illinois Department of Corrections.
The department issued a statement on Thursday indicating its officers arrested James Snow, 29, without incident at a home on Standish Drive on the city’s east side at 11:50 a.m.

Snow fled from IDOC officers while handcuffed as they tried to take him into custody on an active warrant Tuesday. Police said they were seeking Snow in the area of the Cardinal Ridge mobile home park in south Bloomington. Nearby Cedar Ridge Elementary School was placed on lockout Tuesday as police searched for him.

Snow was paroled April 10 after serving prison time on residential burglary and drug charges in McLean County. IDOC spokesperson Lindsey Hess said Snow violated the terms of his parole.
