Bloomington Police are investigating a motorcycle crash which left a man critically injured.

UPDATED 1:55 P.M. | A motorcyclist is in critical condition after a crash Sunday night in Bloomington.
The Bloomington Police Department said a motorcycle struck the rear of another vehicle at a high rate of speed near Veterans Parkway and South Main Street around 6:15 p.m.

Police said the motorcyclist, a 26-year-old man from Kappa, was taken to OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, where he was listed in critical but stable condition Sunday night.

Police said they ticketed the motorcyclist for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and driving without insurance. A BPD spokesperson said additional charges could be filed following an investigation.

The other driver was not hurt and was not charged.

BPD said the crash remains under investigation. Police ask anyone who has information about the case to call Bloomington Police at (309) 820-8888.
