30 years ago the space shuttle Challenger blew up as it was reaching for the sky, killing its crew. Charlie Schlenker talks with Stacey Shrewsbury, the Director of the Challenger Learning Center at Heartland Community College, and Libby Norcross, the Flight Director at the center about the anniversary. Stacey Shrewsbury says the Challenger disaster changed how Americans view space exploration and the course of that pursuit itself.

On this anniversary of the Challenger disaster two classes of children from Roanoke Benson are going through missions at the Challenger Learning Center in Normal.
