Angela ZImmerman, 46, of Bellflower died in a house fire on Sunday morning.

McLean County Coroner Kathy Yoder has released the name of the woman who died in a house fire Sunday morning in Bellflower.
Yoder said Angela Zimmerman, 46, of Bellflower, died of smoke and soot inhalation, based on preliminary findings from an autopsy conducted on Monday.

Zimmerman was pronounced dead at 8:01 a.m. Sunday.

McLean County Sheriff Jon Sandage said Sunday a sheriff’s deputy saw the house in the 400 block of First Street in Bellflower fully engulfed in fire at about 5:20 a.m.

Fire crews from Bellflower, Saybrook and Farmer City responded to the blaze. Sandage said crews found a woman dead inside the home after they had extinguished the fire.

The cause of the fire remains investigation by the McLean County sheriff’s office, coroner’s office, and the MABAS Division 41 Fire Investigation Team.

The incident was the second fatal fire in McLean County in the last week.
