Coroner: Motorcycle Crash Near Carlock Kills Passenger

The McLean County Coroner's Office and McLean County Sheriff's Office are investigating a fatal crash near Carlock.

A woman from Normal died in a motorcycle crash Tuesday night in rural Carlock.
McLean County Coroner Kathy Yoder and McLean County Sheriff Jon Sandage said the crash happened at the intersection of 1100 East and 1900 North roads.

Yoder said the coroner’s office was notified of a death at the Carle BroMenn Medical Center emergency room in Normal shortly before 7:30 p.m.

Tonya Rohrs, 47, was pronounced dead at 6:56 p.m., said Yoder. The coroner said following an autopsy that Rohrs died of head injuries.

Rohrs was a passenger on a motorcycle that lost control, said police.

Sandage said the driver was also transported to Carle BroMenn Medical Center with serious injuries. 

Yoder said the crash remains under investigation by the coroner’s office and sheriff’s department.
