Downtown Bloomington will soon be losing its CVS store.
Calling it a "difficult business decision," CVSHealth confirmed Monday that the location at 210 N. Center St. will close Jan. 2, 2020.
"As part of the regular course of business, we review all of our stores’ financial performance before making such a decision," CVS spokesperson Amy Thibault said.
"The closure of our N. Center St. store is not a reflection of the hard work and dedication of our employees," she said in an email. "In fact, every effort will be made to help place the seven store colleagues into comparable roles at other CVS store locations in the area."
Prescriptions will be transfered to the CVS location at 100 S. Fell Ave., Normal. There are two other locations in Bloomington-Normal.
