Dance Studio Helps Kids

Dancing empowers, and the owner of "Breaking Chains, Advancing Increase," a contemporary dance and art studio operating out of the BCPA's Creativity Center, wants to share that with others. Angelique Racki said she doesn't want to exclude anyone from taking classes at BCAI. "Somewhere where kids can go, regardless of how much their parents make. I never wanted that to anywhere in the equation. So, recently I was able to come up with a sponsorship program to where we can make that happen for anyone who wants to be a part of what BCAI has to offer." Racki said she loves working in the downtown area because of the diversity, and hopes her classes bring different people together. Along with teaching dance, Angelique Racki said she often hears from students who have problems in their lives. BCAI has a performance Friday afternoon from 3-to-5. The studio is at East and Locust Streets.
