Although the dog days of August are full of summer fun,school bells will be ringing soon for area young people. Some kids return to the classroom loaded down with fresh supplies for a new year, but others need some assistance in getting ready for another academic year. That's where Tools For School Comes in.
- Miller Park Zoo in Bloomington is partnering with HOPE Worldwide's Bloomington/Normal Chapter in order to help collect school supplies for students at Bloomington High School.
- The Tools For School event is August 13 from noon to 3 PM.
- Miller Park Zoo offers two free kids admission with a paying adult in exchange for much-needed school supplies for Bloomington High students.
- There's ice cream, snow cones, drinks and popcorn for those participating in the event.
- Some of the supplies needed include three-ring binders, spiral notebooks, pencils, pens, filler paper, backpacks, and more.
