UPDATE: 1 Dead After I-74 Semi Crash

One person is dead after a semi tractor-trailer struck another semi broke down on the side of Interstate 74 on Wednesday afternoon.

Woodford County Coroner said a semi driven by Jeffrey Bryant, 48, of Danville, struck another semi broken down on I-74 at mile post 117 near Congerville just before 2:30 p.m. Bryant's semi then caught fire. 

Bryant was pronouned dead at the scene just before 5 p.m. An autopsy will be conducted Thursday. 

The driver of the other semi, 29-year-old Ethan Stauffer of LeRoy, was taken to a Bloomington hospital with non life-threatening injuries. 

The interstate was closed for about 12 hours between Goodfield and Bloomington. It fully reopened around 3 a.m. Thursday. 

The accident is still under investigation.
