The Illinois Republican Party will again host their convention at the Peoria Civic Center next year.
The convention was last hosted in Peoria in 2016. Illinois Republican Party Chairman Tim Schneider said that experience is what spurred the party to choose the city again.
"Myself, the State Central Committee, and precinct committeeman all across Illinois remember the hospitality Peoria showed us three years ago," he said. "We look forward to showcasing this beautiful Illinois River city again as Illinois Republicans gather to organize, network, and nominate our delegates to the 2020 Republican National Convention.”
The state convention takes place June 11-13, 2020.
