In the 1970s, Beatles frontman John Lennon was a global icon. But in his final years, in his apartment in Manhattan, he was a stay-at-home dad. December 8, 2020, marks the 40th anniversary of his assassination.

In his final years, Lennon left professional recording behind and focused on raising his son, Sean. The two walked through Central Park together. Lennon took to baking bread long before it was trendy.

Then, he was shot outside of his apartment building in one of the highest-profile assassinations in music history.
