There were at least seven — and possibly as many as 12 — new cases of the coronavirus reported over the holiday weekend in McLean County.

The McLean County Health Department's website on Sunday showed seven new cases since Thursday, bringing the county's total up to 272. The Illinois Department of Public Health showed 277 cases. (The state's website sometimes has data before or after the county's website shares it.) Of those, 239 people have already recovered.

There are now 20 active cases in McLean County, including 19 people isolating at home and one hospitalization. That's the most active cases we've had since June 7.

About 1 in 4 patients in McLean County have been in their 20s. That's the most for any age group.
