Man In Bloomington Dies From Gunshot

Two blocks of Oak Street in Bloomington remained cordoned off Wednesday morning, hours after a fatal shooting.

Bloomington police say an unidentified man has died in a local hospital of an apparent gunshot wound.

Officers say they were called to the 1300 block of North Oak Street between Seminary and Union about 8:40 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a person shot. When they arrived, they located an unresponsive adult male laying on the sidewalk. BPD says he was transported to the hospital where he died.

Police say additional information will be released in conjunction with the McLean County coroner’s office later Wednesday.
