Man Critically Injured In Bloomington Shooting

A 37-year-old man was critically wounded by gunfire during an argument early Wednesday in Bloomington, police said.

The shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. outside in the 800 block of East Washington Street, several blocks east of downtown Bloomington, police said.

The victim was transported to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. People said his injuries appear life-threatening.

There have been no arrests. Bloomington Police say "this is an isolated incident and is not related to the looting-type crimes over the past several days."
