Man Dead In Early Morning Shooting Outside Peoria Club

Three people are in custody after a man was shot dead outside the Dream Nightclub in South Peoria early this morning.

Peoria Police spokesperson Amy Dotson says at least two people reportedly exchanged gunfire in the alley behind the club around 3 a.m.

24-year-old Patrick Moton was shot in the head and pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers arrested Tyrese Walker and Desmond Sanders for first degree murder and gun charges. Jasmine Walker was arrested for obstructing justice.

Police shot a pit bull that attacked a Police K9. The K9 is expected to be OK. The pit bull's condition isn't known.

This is Peoria's 24th homicide of the year.
