Minority Teacher Recruitment Difficult In Central Illinois

A retired Unit 5 school district educator recently called for more aggressive efforts to hire minority teachers in Bloomington-Normal.

Camille Taylor made her remarks during a panel discussion following a screening of a documentary about threats to the African-American middle class.

GLT's Charlie Schlenker talked with District 87 Superintendent Barry Reilly about that question, which Reilly said is a difficult one to address.
