Illinois State Police say a motorcyclist was killed in a crash Saturday night north of Peoria.
According to ISP, the motorcyclist was traveling north on Illinois Route 6, just north of Knoxville Avenue, around 11:15 p.m. The motorcyclist drove off the road to the left, crossed the median and landed on the left, southbound shoulder, police said.
The motorcyclist was thrown from the vehicle.
Authorities haven’t released the victim’s name, pending family notification.
