The McLean County Republican Party has slated Scott Murphy in the District Two County Board race. urphy is already serving on the board after he was appointed following the resignation of Matt Sorensen. Sorensen faces federal indictment. But, Sorensen won the primary in March and only recently sent a withdrawal notice to get off the November ballot.
Murphy received the most write in votes among several candidates in the March primary.
Democrats and Republicans have until the close of business Tuesday to file slating documents to get on the ballot.
Third party candidates have until late June, but will need at least 400 signatures on petitions to get a ballot position.
