Heartland Community College has added a self portrait of slain art teacher Joe McCauley to the gallery that bears his name.
The college on Raab Road in Normal says the image of the beloved professor was among the hundreds of works McCauley left behind in his office after his killing in 2009.
Colleague Jane Camp said she did not want to sell it but rather put a face with the name on the gallery in the instructional commons building.
The gallery presents rotating art exhibitions featuring the works of students and professional artists.
