Arizona Woman Killed In Accident Near Bartonville

An Arizona woman was killed and two juveniles were injured after an accident Monday afternoon outside Bartonville.

Peoriaa County Sheriff's deputies responded to the 5000 block of South Airport Road around 1:15 p.m. Monday. A vehicle was found off the roadway with three people inside.

Sheriff Brian Asbell said the 16-year-old driver from Groveland was headed south on Airport Road when it crossed the center lane and left the roadway, striking several mailboxes and trees.

A 56-year-0ld woman, Jamie Lynn Harper of Tuscon, Ariz., was pronounced dead at the scene. The two juveniles were taken to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center with serious injuries.

The teen driver was cited for driving too fast for conditions. More charges are possible, Asbell said.
