Two Peoria men faces burglary charges in federal court in connection with seven incidents over the past three months.

Officials said Terrance Daniels, 19, and James Woolfolk, 20, stole 16 firearms total from Midwestern Firearms in East Peoria on Dec. 25, 2019 and Feb. 23. They're also charged with taking 13 guns from Pekin Gun and Sporting Goods on Feb. 27; six guns from Tactical Bunker in Lincoln on Feb. 27; nine guns from Guns and Glory in LeRoy on Feb. 29; and nine guns from LZ Resale in Spring Valley on March 4. The men also allegedly broke into Freedom Sports Shop in El Paso on Feb. 27, but didn't steal any guns.

In each case, prosecutors said the pair broke in through the front door and smashed glass cases to grab the firearms.

The men were arrested March 4. The maximum sentence for each count of stealing from a federal firearms licensee is 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. Maximum penalties for conspiracy to steal from a federal firearm licensee are five years in prison and a $250,000 charge for each offense.

Daniels and Woolfolk are charged with stealing 53 firearms.
