One person was injured in a fire Wednesday night at Phoenix Towers in Bloomington, authorities said.
The fire happened around 11:30 p.m. at the low-income housing development for seniors and residents with disabilities in downtown Bloomington.
One person, who suffered smoke inhalation and burn injuries, was taken to OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, officials said.
Bloomington Fire Department crews got some help from a sprinkler system that extinguished the fire prior to their arrival.
The fire displaced residents in seven units. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
