The feedback for 1A (which replaced On Point weekdays from 9-11 a.m.) has been great. Thank you to the listeners who got in contact to let us know what they thought of the change. We hope we'll also hear postive things about the changes that will now bring back On Point back to the GLT schedule weekday evenings.
Beginning Oct. 15, GLT will air On Point from 9-11 p.m. every Monday through Thursday. Then at 11 p.m., GLT listeners will hear a special, curated version of 1A, a distillation of the two-hour program heard earlier in the day at 9 a.m.
“GLT started moving toward a news and information format in 2013. This helps solidify our offerings during the week. I think listeners will come to realize we’re the station for smart information,” said GLT Program Director Mike McCurdy.
GLT Blues will remain on Friday evening. But these Monday through Thursday programming changes mean that GLT Jazz will reduced, now beginning at midnight.
