Normal Police are asking for more potential victims to come forward after they arrested a man Friday accused of repeatedly exposing himself to women and girls.

Police arrested the 26-year-old Normal man on Friday after he allegedly tried to make contact with a female at a residence in the 100 block of Shelbourne Drive. The man fled as police arrived, and he was pursued into an apartment a few blocks away in the 1000 block of Sheryl Lane and arrested on public indecency/lewd exposure charges, police said.

In recent weeks police have received multiple reports of a man exposing himself to women and girls in that area, near School Street, Shelbourne Drive, Sheryl Lane, and Constitution Trail, police said.

Police ask that anyone with additional information, or anyone who may have been the victim of a similar incident and not reported it, to contact Detective Jacob Zabukovec at (309) 454-9726 or jzabukovec@normal.org. If you wish to remain anonymous, please call Crime Stoppers at (309) 828-1111.

The 26-year-old is being held at the McLean County jail pending formal charges. He pleaded guilty to public indecency (a Class A misdemeanor) in 2009 and served jail time, court records show.
