UPDATE: Cause Of Death Revealed In Case Of Missing Deer Creek Man

UPDATED:  A missing Deer Creek man whose remains were found Monday in rural Tazewell County died of blunt force trauma, according to autopsy results.

Tazewell  County Coroner Charles Hanley conducted an autopsy Monday on 49-year-old John A. Tyler, Jr. 

Tyler was last seen Dec. 6. On Dec. 23, a jogger found a body off Schmidgall Road, near Augustine Road. It's roughly halfway between Tremont and Mackinaw. Hanley pronounced Tyler dead at the scene.

Daniel Allbritton, 52, of Sunnyland, was arrested for obstructing justice in that case. The charge was later upgraded to murder.
