Quest Charter Academy's leaders say they'll prove to the Peoria Public Schools Board that it deserves to continue. This comes after the school board approved a conditional 2-year rechartering Monday. The charter school said because its rechartering application was intended for a full five-year renewal instead of two years, it needs better understand the situation before it comments further. The school didn't weigh in on Superintendent Dr. Sharon-Desmoulin Kherat's arguments that the school violated state and federal education laws in its statement. The District 150 school board will shape that 2-year agreement. It's likely to pop up for a vote next spring.
