The truck-tractor driver involved in an accident with a charter bus Monday faces multiple citations.
The Illinois State Police said a semi driven by 39-year-old Daniel Fitzgibbons of Dubuque, Iowa rear-ended a charter bus headed northbound on Interstate 155 near Delavan around 10 a.m.
Ten of the 29 occupants of the charter bus went to area hospitals to get checked out. None suffered life-threatening injuries.
Fitzgibbons was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and aggravated use of an electronic communication device when involved in an accident that resulted in great bodily harm.
