Peoria native Shaun Livingston is retiring from the NBA.

Livingston, 34, is a three-time NBA champion, winning with the Golden State Warriors in 2015, 2017 and 2018. He's a graduate of Concordia Lutheran School and Peoria Central High School.

Livingston came back from a devastating 2007 knee injury, eventually returning to professional basketball after doctors told him he may lose his leg.

He was waived by the Golden State Warriors in July.

Livingston frequently comes back to Peoria to perform philanthropic work and outreach with his Shaun Livingston Foundation.
