Central Illinois is facing some unseasonably cold weather Monday - along with a helping of snow.
The Peoria area is expected to get about 2 inches of snow Monday. Temperatures are also dropping at a rapid clip. Wind chills are expected to drop to -5 by Monday evening, with actual temperatures around 8 degrees.
Slick spots will develop as wet spots on the roads freeze this afternoon.
Both the city of Peoria and Peoria County are under collision alerts as of 8:30 a.m. Monday.
