Tazewell County is now reporting its first confirmed COVID-19 case.
A man in his 70s received positive test results Wednesday. His exposure wasn't related to a confirmed case or travel.
The man is currently hospitalized. The Tazewell County Health Department is tracing the man's recent contacts.
Health officials ask people to stay at home whenever possible, wash your hands, and maintain social distancing of at least 6 feet.
Peoria and Woodford counties have already reported multiple cases of COVID-19.
