A teenager is believed to be responsible for a hit-and-run incident that left an 11-year-old Peoria boy seriously injured.
The child was struck at Knoxville and Corrington on Oct. 1.
Peoria Police said a 17-year-old was cited Wednesday for failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
The teen was released to a guardian. The incident was referred to the Peoria County State's Attorney's Office for review.
