A 17-year-old charged in the fatal shootings last month at a Normal apartment pleaded not guilty Friday in McLean County court.

Christopher B. Harrison is charged with 16 counts, including first-degree murder, unlawful possession of guns and ammunition, and drug possession. Authorities say he shot and killed Joseph F. Gardner, 20, and Reginald Hart Jr., 19, both from Bloomington, on April 25 at the Lancaster Heights apartment complex.

Prosecutors say Harrison had an AR-15, a 9 mm handgun, and a shotgun, plus ammo. Police said the fatal confrontation may have been drug-related.

Harrison is being held on $2.5 million bond.
